Top 10 Best-Selling SUVs In America - August 2010

Up 706.4% from August 2009's total, the 2011 Kia Sorento (and two previous-generation Sorentos) pushed the Kia logo into sixth position among America's Top 10 Best-Selling SUVs in August 2010. The 2011 Sorento, a GoodCarBadCar.net pick of the crop among small and midsize utility vehicles, is already being improved, Autoblog reports. New shock absorbers will soften the Sorento's ride without killing its dynamics. 

Successful though the Sorento may have been in contrast with August of 2009, Kia's middle-rung SUV still doesn't measure up to the Honda CR-V in terms of overall volume. Down 33.2% from August 2009's C4C level, the CR-V still managed to out-pace all other SUVs and crossovers in August 2010. With 128,507 sales so far this year, however, the Ford Escape is out-selling the Honda CR-V by 2,128 units year-to-date.
