Top 30 Best-Selling Vehicles In America - November 2011

In the table of November 2011's 30 best-selling vehicles in America, a table which you've probably already scanned by scrolling down this page, you'll find all ten of America's top 10 sport-utility vehicles and crossovers, five of America's best-selling trucks, and 15 of the most popular cars in America. The leading truck, and best-selling vehicle overall, was the Ford F-Series. Ford's pickup garnered 4.8% of all new vehicle sales in America last month as sales jumped 24%.

The Toyota Camry, with 24 out of every 1000 new vehicle sales in the U.S. in November, found 23,440 buyers. That's up 13% from last November, enough to propel the Camry back on top of America's best-selling car standings. One spot back of the Camry was Ford's Escape - not the new one; not yet - which posted a 46% improvement, easily enough to be the best-selling SUV in America.

Six of America's 30 best-selling vehicles in November were sold by General Motors. With 20% of the top 30, GM was at par with October's result but is down from 30% of the top 30 in 2003. 14 of the these 30 best-selling vehicles are Detroit machines. There is just one European car. It's made in Mexico. You'll spot four Korean nameplates. That leaves 11 Japanese products, including the surging Toyota Prius. North of the border, Prius V sales are listed separately, and though that doesn't have any bearing on the U.S. results, the Prius V was twice as popular as the regular Prius in November.

October's version of this post can be viewed here. Use the dropdown menu in the top right of this page to find monthly and yearly sales figures for all 30 of these vehicles as well as every other model currently on sale in North America. Keep scrolling past the table for a look at the market share of America's 20 best-selling vehicles as opposed to the other 62.4% of the new vehicle market in November 2011.
