Top 30 Best-Selling Vehicles In Canada - November 2011

2012 Honda Civic Sedan
Not since March has Honda sold this many Civics in Canada. The Civic's 6817 sales were enough to make the Honda more than just Canada's best-selling car, but Canada's best-selling vehicle overall. That's not a normal monthly result.

Canada's most popular pickup, the second-ranked Ford F-Series, finished November 2011 2249 sales ahead of the third-ranked Dodge Ram. There are five pickup trucks on this list of Canada's 30 best-selling vehicles. The F-Series, Ram, GMC Sierra, and Chevrolet Silverado ended November as Canada's four most popular vehicles, aside from the Honda Civic, of course. These four top-selling trucks accounted for 16 out of every 100 new vehicles sold in Canada last month.

The best-selling minivan in Canada, despite decreasing volume, remains the Dodge Grand Caravan. The Grand Caravan is down 2% this year; sales slid 22% in November. No other minivan made it into the top 30.

One-third of Canada's 30 best-selling vehicles list is formed by SUVs and crossovers. The Ford Escape is the #1 SUV, though sales fell 13% in November and Honda CR-V sales jumped 135% to 2443.

There are six Hyundais and Kias among Canada's 30 best-selling vehicles. Add to that five Fords, five Toyotas, four General Motors products, three nameplates from Chrysler Canada, two Hondas, two Nissans, and single entries from BMW, Mazda, and Volkswagen. Check out last month's version of this list here, the U.S. edition here, and scroll down for a look at the market share of Canada's 20 most popular vehicles.
