Land Rover USA recorded its best ever Evoque sales month in November. For the third time, Land Rover sold more than 800 Range Rover Evoques in a single month. November 2012 was actually the first time Land Rover USA topped 900 Evoque sales.

This made the Evoque the second-best-selling Land Rover in November, as it is through the first eleven months of 2012. And yes, the Range Rover Evoque outsold the whole Jaguar brand with 191 units to spare.

Let's not kid ourselves, though. The Evoque, like all Land Rovers, remains a low-volume luxury utility.  BMW's X5 outsold the Range Rover Sport, Land Rover's top-selling model, by a three-to-one count. And the X5 isn't even the leading luxury utility vehicle. Cadillac and Lexus, purveyors of lower-priced luxury crossovers, found 5340 SRX and 8871 RX buyers in November 2012.

Midsize Luxury SUV Sales Chart

Porsche Cayenne sales shot up 80% in November, Acura RDX sales jumped 129%, and the Volvo XC60 posted a 167% improvement. The Land Rover LR2, Lexus GX, Mercedes M-Class, Volvo XC90, and the dying Acura ZDX all suffered year-over-year declines.
