Minivan Sales In America - March 2014 YTD

2013 Mazda 5 grey
America's two best-selling minivans in March 2014 were twins from the Chrysler Group, the Chrysler Town & Country and leading Dodge Grand Caravan. They owned 51% of the minivan market in March, 49% of the minivan market in the first quarter of 2014.

Overall, segment-wide sales jumped 8.4% in March as decreased sales originated with just two vans, the Toyota Sienna and low-volume Mazda 5.

Even Volkswagen Routan sales are on the upswing - how, we don't quite know - and Nissan Quest sales jumped 16% last month.

Minivans continue to form a very small portion of the overall auto industry's new vehicle sales volume. But at Chrysler, these vans are doing yeoman's work, attracting 14% of the company's March sales.

You can click any model name in the tables below to find historical monthly and yearly U.S. auto sales data. You can also select a make and model at GCBC's Sales Stats page. This table is sortable, so you can rank minivans any which way you like. Suggestions on how GCBC should break down segments can be passed on through the Contact page.
