Top 5 Best-Selling Trucks In Canada - December 2010

Throw the Chevrolet Avalanche into the mix and GM's full-size pickups beat Ford's F-Series fleet by more than 1000 sales in December. Sales of the Chevrolet Silverado were up 11%; GMC Sierra sales were up 29% from 3319 in December 2009. 

As Canadian Ford dealerships sold off their 2010s and waited for the 2011 Ford F-150 to arrive, sales slid ever so slightly, down 0.8% from December 2009. Dodge Ram sales represented 28.7% of all Chrysler Canada sales in December. Minivans accounted for 28.5% of Chrysler Canada sales, only 193 of which were Chrysler Town & Countrys. Another 13% of Chrysler Canada's sales were Dodge Journeys. 18.4% of Chrysler Canada's sales were actually Jeeps of one sort or another. By the time you add in the end-of-line Dodge Durango and low-volume sellers like the Nitro and Dakota, cars were apparently just 11% of all Chrysler's Canadian sales in December 2010. Good thing Dodge Ram sales were up 57%.

While the Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Tundra found 523 and 364 buyers, respectively, GM's small duo was up 52% from the same period of 2009. Chevrolet was the duo's leader with 308 Colorado sales.
