For a change, we thought today we would profile a more specific sub-set of the American new vehicle marketplace. The vast majority of European brand SUV/crossover nameplates weren't even available or thought of little more than a decade ago, yet now they form an integral part of their respective automakers' lineups.

These are the 15 best-selling European brand SUVs and crossovers in the United States through the first nine months of 2014, led most interestingly by two of the more established nameplates.
