Volkswagen Canada delivered a red Golf GTI to our driveway during the last holiday season. It's been more than four months, but rarely has a day gone by that I didn't think that the 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI, the Mk7 GTI, is one of the planet's best all-around cars.

There is one key difference. Alex On Autos' review is of a 2-door model (referred to as a 3-door in Canada); we reviewed a GTI with an extra pair of doors. Both his car and mine used manual shifters.
