U.S. Car Sales Rankings By Model - April 2015 YTD
The Camry's closest challenger was also a Toyota, the compact Corolla, sales of which increased 10% during a month in which Camry volume slid 10%.
The Camry certainly wasn't alone in its decline. America's second, third, and fourth-best-selling midsize cars (Accord, Fusion, Altima) also posted noteworthy year-over-year decreases. Among America's 20 best-selling cars, only eight posted year-over-year improvements.
Meanwhile, all 20 of America's best-selling SUVs and crossovers reported improved sales.
