Top 20 Best-Selling SUVs In Canada - February 2014

2014 Buick Encore
For the eleventh consecutive time, the Ford Escape was Canada's monthly sales leader among SUVs and crossovers. Escape sales shot up 14% to 2750, creating a 537-unit gap between the Ford and Honda's CR-V.

The third-ranked Toyota RAV4 suffered its first year-over-year decline since January of last year. The RAV4 leads the Honda CR-V in the year-to-date rankings.

Buick's very soft soft-roader, the Encore, recorded its second-best Canadian sales month in the model's 14-month history, enough to outsell the Ford Explorer and GMC Terrain; enough to find the 18th position on this list of the 20 top-selling SUVs and crossovers. The Encore's Chevrolet Trax twin was up 14% to 374 units.

Jeep's Cherokee, Wrangler, and Grand Cherokee were Canada's seventh, eighth, and 16th-best-selling utility vehicles in February 2014. Only Ford positioned as many utilities in the top 20 last month, although the Hyundai-Kia tag team also combined for three, with the Santa Fe Sport, Tucson, and Sorento, and General Motors' Equinox, Encore, and Terrain did the same.

Historical monthly and yearly sales figures for any of these best-selling cars can always be accessed through the dropdown menu at GCBC's Sales Stats page, and for those not viewing the mobile version of this site, near the top right of this page, as well.
